Speech contest
All students will have the opportunity to participate in a speech activity in June. There is a graduated process from kindergarten to grade 5 that recognizes the developmental levels of our students. For example, kindergarten students will say a short poem in a small group in front of their class. Students in grades 3 to 5 will present a speech to their class with some students being selected to compete in a speech contest in front of all grades in the gym. The goal is to develop students’ speaking abilities so they are comfortable speaking in gatherings such as our school assemblies.
The speech contest for students in grades 3 to 5 will be on Wednesday, June 20 in the gym.
